Shannon: God is gracious

S/V Shannon is a 1977 Cal 34 sailboat.  It was built in Southern California by Jensen Marine and was designed by Bill Lapworth.

She is just over 33′ long, 10′ wide and floats in 5′ of water.

When we found her she had been sitting in the boat yard for a year and a half waiting for us.  Many others had looked her over and a few even made offers on her, but for their own reasons, they all withdrew their offers.

On a whim we drove over 4 hours in driving rain through Seattle traffic just to take a look at her.  We are so glad that we did!  She has a sound hull, strong engine and a clean interior.  She needs a few updates and a little maintenance, but overall it won’t be hard to get her into great sailing shape.
